Full Time - Regular
POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as equipment, parts, and sale inventory by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Creates purchase orders. 2. Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. 3. Data entry and filing paperwork. 4. Obtains price quotes from multiple vendors. 5. Runs reports to help determine needs. 6. Prepares purchase orders. 7. Processes requests for quotes from internal customers. 8. Issues purchase orders to suppliers and vendors and confirms delivery dates, quantities ordered and prices are correct. 9. Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. 10. Discusses defective or unacceptable goods with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action. 11. Expedites delivery of goods. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: EDUCATION: - High school diploma EXPERIENCE: 1. Two year’s inventory or accounts payable experience. 2. Computer skills. 3. Be able to work well with others. 4. Have good math skills. 5. Be able to multi-task. 6. Be detail oriented. 7. Good communication skills Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. WORK CONTEXT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
